Justin Bieber Stuns Customers At Glasgow Chip Shop…

He’s an international popstar worth an estimated £160million and used to sampling the finest food the world has to offer.

But Justin Bieber shunned cocktail bars and Michelin star meals in favour of a few pubs and a local chippie in Scotland last weekend.

The Canadian musician, 22, was pictured tucking into local delicacy haggis and chips washed down with some Irn Bru inside the Blue Lagoon eatery in Glasgow.

Following his second show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro arena, the Baby hitmaker descended on a string of low-key pubs and ended his night in a chip shop, keen to get a taste of the genuine local lifestyle.

According to The Scottish Sun, Justin enjoyed a cocktail at the city’s trendy Blue Dog bar, but then proceeded to go on a pubcrawl in true Scottish spirit.

Favouring a string of inconspicuous breweries, the Canadian star managed to keep a relatively low profile due to the older clientèle in the pubs.

‘A few people recognised him and asked him for photos, which he declined, but the majority were oblivious that Justin and his crew were knocking back drinks alongside them,’ a source told the Sun.

‘He wanted a more real experience of the city, and after asking for some advice thought some pubs and a chippy dinner would be the way to do that.’

After enjoying a few rounds of drinks, Justin headed to the Blue Lagoon chip shop, where he spent £20 on a meal of deep-fried haggis, chips and Irn Bru.

The owner of the iconic chippie in Glasgow, which opened in 1980, spoke warmly of the popstar, revealing he was keen to sample local delicacies.

Simone Varese said: ‘Justin came in with a cap on and two bouncers with him. He was in good spirits and very excited about trying the local cuisine.’

The chain was founded by Mr Varese’s grandfather in the 1970s and is famous in Glasgow and beyond, having opened 11 more branches.

And it is more likely to be the name than the reviews that attracted the popstar, as it has a mediocre three stars on rating website Tripadvisor.

The singer, no stranger to ignoring advice, seems to have paid no heed to reviewers’ comments such as ‘don’t risk it’ and branding the food ‘terrible ‘and tasteless’.

Last week the singer ruffled feathers when he made himself right at home at his rental – the stunning Kinross House in Perthshire.

The Sorry singer emerged from the front of the sprawling property, which was bought by First Sight Estates for £4.25 million in 2011, wearing nothing but a pair of white boxer shorts.
