Colmans of South Shields teams up with Love Seafood to offer £2.10 good luck deal
A North East fish and chip shop is getting behind the England team and serving up a dinner of champions on Sunday 11 July, adding a Gareth Southskate Supper to their menu.
Colman’s of South Shields has teamed up with Love Seafood, which is on a mission to inspire the nation to fall in love with seafood, to help fans celebrate England’s European Championship final appearance with the aptly named Gareth Southskate Supper.
The special portion of cod and chips, served with an extra helping of support for the manager and his team, will – in a nod to the scoreline in the semi-final win over Denmark, the first 100 will be on sale to takeaway for just £2.10.
Several of the England players hail from the North East of England, including Jordan Pickford and Jordan Henderson, who were both born and brought up in Sunderland. Gareth Southgate also spent nearly a decade in Middlesbrough as a player and manager, lifting the League Cup as captain in 2004 and appearing in the UEFA Cup Final two years later.

Owner of Colmans, Richard Ord and his team wanted to pay tribute to England’s ‘local’ heroes and help fans enjoy an unforgettable day for the nation. To do so, the shop enlisted the help of Love Seafood to come up with a winning offer for fans.

Our Gareth Southskate supper is the perfect pre-match meal for fans and thanks to Love Seafood, we’ve been able to offer the first 100 customers the special wining price of £2.10.”

There are 100 Gareth Southskate Suppers available at Colman’s, takeaway only, which is open from 12.00pm on Sunday.
